Permanent Exposition / Exposition Cabinet

In November 2005, the new exposition cabinet of the University of Fribourg’s BIBLE+ORIENT collections opened its doors to the public. Within confined space, its vitrines and drawers offer an insight into the vast world of the Ancient Near East, from which the biblical scriptures emerged.
Opening hours until the end of June: Sundays 2pm - 5pm or by special arrangement.

Special exhibition «Everyday objects»

A special exhibition in the the halls of the University of Fribourg displays over 120 everyday objects, granting children and adults from modern cities an insight into the rural everyday environment of the inhabitants of the ancient Near East. Biblical wisdom and prophecy is strongly influenced thereby.
