Darstellung:

 Face A: Horizontally arranged a sphinx couchant (Keel 1995: § 544, 545, 546, 547, particularly 547); the human head is that of a king with a false beard; a nms headdress (cf. Hall 1913: 97 no. 1001), and an uraeus (Keel 1995: § 522) at the forehead; around its neck is a collar, the tail is curled backwards and above its head is the solar disk; in front of the sphinx is a segmented ˓nḫ (Keel 1995: § 449; cf. Keel 2013: Geser Nr. 410; Eggler/Keel 2006: Sahab Nr. 13); above the back of the sphinx is a horizontal oval (Keel 1995: § 462) with the thronename of Amenhotep III Nb-m˓t-r˓ (Keel 1995: § 634, 650, 663; cf. Keel 2010: Bet-Mirsim Nr. 9, 68 und 89); the sign m˓t is in the form of a feather (Keel 1995: § 462); cf. a scarab in which the central figure is a passant lion (Hall 1913: 185 no. 1850; the thronename is written in a similar way on scarabs from his palace at Malkata (Hayes 1951: fig. 34: R 5.6.34.38). Face B: A seated baboon with a lunar disk above its head – one of the representations of the god Thot (Ḏḥwty); he sits above a nb-sign (Keel 1995: § 458), and in front of it is the sign m˓t (Keel 1995: § 456, 462), shaped like a feather; in the upper right corner the sign mrj (Keel 1995: § 457); the whole has to be read as an Epitheton of Nb-m˓t-r˓ „beloved of Thot, the Lord of truth“; the Epitheton „Beloved of Thoth“ is found on a small group of 18th dynasty scarabs: eight scarabs with the thronename of Thutmosis III (Jaeger 1982: § 168), three with the thronename of Amenhotep II (Petrie 1889: 36 no. 1106 = Petrie 1917: pl. 30, 18.7.23; Newberry 1906: pl. 30,2 = Jaeger 1982: § 1130, ill. 430; Hornung/Staehelin et al. 1976: 389 Nr. D3), and another with the thronename of Thutmosis IV (Keel 2013: Geser Nr. 47).
